Mini ballet

Stage rehearsal ballet costume

This white stage rehearsal ballet costume consists of separate maillot/bodice, tutu and ballet slippers.

I want them to look as much realistic as possible, thus the tutus are made following technology used to sew real-size ballet tutus.

Summer time, still
My little Jane Doe has got a bunch of new clothes. Designed and made by me, of course.
Somewhere over the rainbow….
Someone gets dirty.
Do you want to talk about it?
So peaceful and quiet.
These shoes are made for walking. Ummm, not sure.
and these are.
It’s made of real leather, by the way.
I have a lot of plans for fall/winter collection; but need some time and energizer, perhaps.

Waiting for a miracle to come
My lady is waiting for a prince charming, I suppose. But all she has got is a teddy bear.

A dress, a bag and a teddy bear
Someday back to April…
Crocheted bag, cotton thread, hook 0.55 mm.
A whole outfit:
The dress is knitted with sewing cotton thread, needles 0.8 mm.
The hat with the scarf is 100% kid mohair, that I bough a hundred years ago on sale (still don’t know what for).
The teddy bear is actually a very bad bear, as it was willing to run away and free himself. It took me a half an hour to knit its parts, and an hour to find lost pads, again and again.
Little kid all alone...

Fashionista
I bought this doll to dress. I am not particularly interested in inhabiting my almost-done dollhouse, but I wanted to make mini clothes to wear, so needed a model. She is going to have a lot of clothes...
Heidi Ott’s 13 cm (or 5 inch) jointed doll. Knitted top, rayon, needles 0.8 mm.

Something red
I finally finished a red cardigan for my hero. He wasn't in mood for shooting, so was just caught on tape.
And here we are:I used to play with this German doll when I was a kid, actually, this is the only toy left. I am intended to keep him safe and sound for future generations, but who knows what can happen next...

Dollhouse miniatures in movies, bad ones
Recently I happened to watch a few episodes of TV series “The Wire” about
Here is a scene (people on youtube call it funny), were we can see Freamon polishing a miniature bed while on duty. Attention – a lot of bad language – I mean it.
One “bad” dollhouse that I remember is from a horror movie “Haunting Sarah”. An evil twin sister, played by Kim Raven, builds a dollhouse for a ghost of her died son as a place to “live”. Scary… :^-)
Really creepy miniatures are from 7 season of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, where a serial killer, known as the “Miniature Killer”, sends the CSI team miniature models that are exact replicas of the murder scenes.
Here is amazing videos about how they were making:

These dollhouses are way to far from a kid’s toy ;-).

Under construction
Finally, we’ve got some stuff to start construction of a new house. I put it in the bathroom to keep away from the kids.
Obviously, it didn’t work….
